This page is all about the site's writers, Jack and Kurtis other interests.

Music

Jack and Kurtis together with Zac Carrigan and James Burman make up a band called N2O. N2O, which stands for Nitrous Oxide, or laughing gas, collectively have over 25 years experience in music and as a band formed one year ago. N2O does several covers and a few original songs. Zac Carrigan does vocals, Jack plays acoustic and electric guitar, Kurtis is on bass and James Burman keeps the rythm on the drums. Also joining the band on a few occasions is Zac's brother, Cooper, who seconds as a guitar player.

Walking and Wildlife

Walking almost goes hand in hand with keen fisho's and this is no different with Kurtis and Jack. Expereince in walking was gained through their school's outdoor program which involves students going to Colo to gain an overall expereince in life. While at Colo last year both Jack and Kurtis did a four day hike around the Wollemi National Park. Since then dream trips have been planned to do the Western Lakes in Tasmania, the Overland Track also in Tasmania, the Six Foot Track to the Cox's River in NSW, various tracks to the Colo River also in Nsw and backcountry trout fishing in New Zealand, both also have a strong interest in fishing remote areas such as Bhutan, PNG, some areas of South America and other places around the world.

Skiing

Although only having tried it once for 3 days this year Jack has been caught by the Skiing bug, as it were. Normally Jack would reserve Thredbo for summer when the trout season is on, but when he went skiing during the early season this year he loved. Jack was able to pick up skiing quickly within a day he was able to master the basics of skiing slopes such as paralleling and hockey stops, on the second he mastered these skills on green tracks and some blue tracks and on the third day he learnt the skill of pole planting and timing which he used to his advantage on the Crackenback Supertrail on lovely corduroy snow.
